ROV CompetitionThe Henry MS Remotely Operated Vehicle team placed 6th out of 22 teams! The difference between the teams was very small so we were in the hunt for first, second or third place. We received the highest score for our poster display.
Henry Middle School Students Win City ContestCongratulations to the 2012 Litter Stinks Poster & Video Contest Winners! Prizes were awarded on April 21st at a special event at the Aquarium of the Pacific. 8th grader Gabriela Gutierrez won First place in the Video category and Henry will receive $500 towards computer equipment and a visit from the Aquarium on Wheels! 6th grader Eliana Flores-Barber won 3rd place in the poster category taken home a $75 gift card! Tdap Requirements for 7th graders for School Year 2012-2013
To: 6th Grade Parents, All students entering 7th grade will need proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot(Tdap) before entering 1st day of school. (School Year 2012-2013). A 3rd notice will be going home this week to those 6th graders who are missing their Tdap in their health file. If your child has already received the Tdap booster after the age 10, bring their Tdap record now to the school nurse so your child's record can be updated at school. If your child has not received their Tdap, take the time now to get it done and bring a copy to the school nurse. Avoid the 1st day school rush.
